On Elijah Silvera Day, we celebrate and focus on love, joy, and kindness in the community, by reflecting on how others Make A Hand, Make A Hug and Make A Kiss words Elijah left us with. It made sense for us to release the cover of the book that our Co-founder, Dina Hawthorne have been waiting to share and have spent years working on.
Today is also special because it is Elijah’s Birthday, and he would have been 12 years old today. We are honored and so grateful to finally share the Book Cover release of Elijah Builds a Park. Elijah loved parks and building “parks” with his blocks every single day. The story captures his joy, what made him different, brotherhood, imagination, friendship, family, and adventure.
Writing this book was deeply personal and healing. Today, we celebrate love, joy, kindness, and community. Thank you to everyone who continues to support The Elijah-Alavi Foundation, and we look forward to Making A Hand, Making A Hug, and Making A Kiss with all of you for another year. We look forward to many more.
