Elijah’s Law- Coming to Illinois-Bill HB0102

Rep.Carroll wishes Illinois to remain a blueprint for other states while referring to food allergies. Advocates estimate about 5.6 million children suffers with food allergies. New State policy allows the state to formulate anaphylaxis plans with DCFS and the education board. Carroll feels that staff should be able to identify a medical emergency and act accordingly.

Thank to State Rep. Jonathan Carroll for making this happen on March 3rd 2021..

Elijah’s Law Illinois Bill HB0102 improves training in schools around anaphylactic episodes and more. It passed unanimously in the House Education Committee. After some minor changes, it will head to the Senate!
