Reflecting on a Story That Inspires Change This Giving Tuesday

Updated: Nov 28, 2023

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join a cause close to our hearts—the Elijah-Alavi Foundation. Our foundation was born out of a heartbreaking event that no family should ever experience: the loss of our beloved son, Elijah-Alavi, who suffered a fatal anaphylactic reaction due to a preventable error at his childcare center.

Elijah's bright spirit and joyous love for life drive our mission to educate and advocate for food allergy and asthma awareness. As we move from 2023 into 2024, we launch new initiatives to honor his memory and protect and empower others.

Your donation will be strategically allocated to various critical areas:

  • Food Allergy and Asthma Awareness Education & Training & Mitigation Strategies

  • Elijah's Echo Ambassador Program

  • Community Events

  • Health and Nutrition Public Health Work

  • Marketing/Administration

  • Epinephrine Access

  • Low-Cost Portable Nebulizers

  • Health Literacy

  • Advocacy

  • Mental Health Support

With your support, the Elijah-Alavi Foundation can continue to make significant strides in educating, raising awareness, and providing necessary resources to those impacted by these conditions. Your contribution this Giving Tuesday will help us meet our immediate goals and lay the groundwork for our ambitious plans in the coming years. We can create a more informed, healthier, and empathetic community.

The tragedy of Elijah's passing illuminates the urgent need for awareness and action. This Giving Tuesday, With our goal to reach $25,000, we ask you to see your donation in action as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. Your generosity will directly contribute to a world where no other family endures such a loss due to a lack of awareness.
