This Giving Tuesday, Stand for E.L.I.J.A.H. – Protect a Child’s Future 💙 On November 3, 2017, Elijah-Alavi Silvera, our bright, joyful 3-year-old, tragically lost his life due to a preventable allergic reaction at daycare. Despite clear medical records about his severe allergies, he was fed dairy; a fatal oversight that shattered our family. Elijah’s voice was silenced that day, but his story has become a rallying cry for change.
E.L.I.J.A.H. represents hope, action, and a promise:
Empowering families with the tools to manage food allergies and asthma.
Legislating life-saving protections like Elijah’s Law, now passed in 5 states. (more to come)
Informing communities to bridge gaps in awareness and healthcare.
Joining hands w/advocates and organizations to create safer environments for children.
Advancing equity in underserved communities, where barriers to care are greatest.
Honoring Elijah’s legacy by fighting for every child’s right to safety and a future.
Since Elijah’s passing, the Elijah-Alavi Foundation has worked tirelessly to ensure
his loss was not in vain:
Elijah’s Law now mandates allergy safety protocols in childcare centers across several states, saving countless lives.
We’ve empowered underserved families through education and resources to overcome barriers to care.
Through advocacy, awareness campaigns, and partnerships, we are building a future where no child’s life is cut short by preventable tragedies.
