In Honor of Elijah-Alavi and in Celebration of August Birthdays,Thomas & Sebastin.

On August 2nd, I will be turning 50!!!! years old. This milestone is deeply personal, not just because of the years behind me, but because of the journey that has shaped my life since the heartbreaking loss of my son, Elijah-Alavi.

Elijah was only three years old when a preventable allergic reaction at a childcare center took his life. That moment changed everything. But from unimaginable pain came a mission to protect other children from suffering the same fate. That mission became the Elijah-Alavi Foundation. As cofounder, vice president, and executive director, I’ve devoted my life to raising awareness, driving policy, and saving lives through education and advocacy.

To date, we’ve helped pass Elijah’s Law in six states and one major city, ensuring lifesaving allergy protocols and training are in place where children need them most. But there is still much more to do.

This August, I’m not only celebrating 50 years of life, I’m also celebrating my incredible son Sebastin, who turns 13 on August 20th. Each year with him is a blessing, and every child deserves the chance to reach their next birthday safely.

So, in honor of our birthdays and in memory of my son and his brother, Elijah, We are launching a special fundraising campaign running through the month of August.
