Founder, Thomas Silvera and Dina, lost their 3-year-old son to anaphylaxis triggered by a dairy allergy at his preschool in 2017, despite the school having documentation of his life-threatening allergies. The Foundation provides the right accredited training for school professionals and those in the childcare setting. Thomas and Dina began working to enact “Elijah’s Law” in every state, which requires all child care programs to follow state food allergy guidelines to prevent, recognize and respond to life-threatening anaphylactic reactions."
